Internet security update
Download a live update of Kaspersky Internet Security now.
Although your Kaspersky security software is updated regularly to keep you protected from new viruses, your Kaspersky Lab internet security software is not upgraded automatically when a new version is released.
To upgrade to a newly released version, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Check your internet security license
In order to update your internet security program, you need to have a valid license.
If your license is active, you can use your activation code (key file) to upgrade to our latest internet security product release. The remaining time on your license period will be carried over.
If your license has expired, you can purchase a Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 license at a discount when you renew online.
Note, however, that a Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 license is not compatible with Internet Security 2011. To update from KIS 6.0, renew your license online whether your license has expired or not.
Step 2: Which Windows security?
The latest internet security software works with Windows 7, Vista or Windows XP. It does not work with Windows 2000 or Windows 98. Make sure that your operating system works with Internet Security 2011 before you download it.
Step 3: What to do with your old internet security software
If you are upgrading from Internet Security 2010, follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Security 2010.
If you are upgrading from 2009, do not remove the software. Your activation information and anti-spam databases will transfer to the new security software automatically.
Step 4: Download updated internet security
Once you have a valid license, you are now ready to download Internet Security 2011.
- Run the downloaded file
- Follow the Setup Wizard instructions
- Restart your computer when installation is complete
- Activate the new version you downloaded
